Grass Roots !
Today was a step back into the grass roots of what is an addictive sport for me, I had the great pleasure to visit the British Under 21 Grass Track championship at the Ugley Bowl in Essex.
With near perfect weather a good crowd and some excellent racing spread over almost 5 hours what better way to spend father’s day!
Much respect goes out to Mr Julian Sayer Clerk of The Course who ran the meeting impeccably.
Congratulations to champion Jamie Rodgers, and all the best to him for the Masters.
Finally the biggest thanks goes to Teri & Keith Massingham and Ian Gutteridge for taking time out to ensure at least one excited fan had a memorable day in the pits. I have to say I feel Speedway/grasstrack is one of the most closely knit stars to spectators communities there is in the sporting world.
